Budget constraints sometimes determine design options. Yet an expert opinion often helps identify solutions that may have been overlooked.

The designers of the Waitakere Stadium called for plasma and LCD televisions throughout the complex, to maintain the buildings technically advanced aesthetic, says Luana Downing, Philips commercial channel manager.

"Meeting their request required a re-evaluation of the size, type and placement of televisions required," says Downing.

"We met the brief via a strategic placement of screens, and a reassessment of requirements, based on our in-depth product knowledge."
