French connection
New Zealand products are transforming landscapes in the south of France. This picturesque Mediterranean hilltop garden features Verda Outdoor timber decking and furniture
The French excel in garden design, but it seems New Zealand can still show them a thing or two when it comes to the choice of hard landscaping.
The renowned French designers of this landscape in the south of France Le Jardin de Nouvelle-Zelande were inspired by the range of sustainable wood products manufactured by Verda New Zealand. On a picturesque hilltop site overlooking the Mediterranean, Nicolas Prieur of Locus-Sites Paysages and Philippe Verignon created a New Zealand garden that features native plants and Verda Outdoor wood decking, bench seating and tables.
Verda Outdoor products are made from radiata pine from well-managed forests. The sustainability extends to the safe wood treatments, which are free of chromium and arsenic. Oil impregnation technology international patent pending enhances the durability of the products, which come with a 25-year guarantee.
Because the wood is knot-free, all the products have a silky smooth, high-quality finish. The straight-grain timber is also stable, reducing splintering and cracking, and making the decking barefoot friendly. A range of colours is available.
