A fully functional practical working kitchen with connection to outside – a beautiful house to connect with the beautiful estate
Kitchen to be centre of the room
Kitchen to be very social
A large sized service area with extended scullery behind for multi functions and everyday tasks
A space to be enjoyed but also thoughtful in its function
A kitchen that facilitates all the purposes and all the people

Organic self sufficient farmhouse designed to incorporate inside / outside
Being on a farm we had to include provisions for wellies, a connection to the greenhouse, a prep area for washing fruit and vegies
House entry doesn’t have a formal approach, the kitchen stands at the centre of arrival and connects to the western courtyard
Dark scullery so a skylight installed for connection to natural light
Colour choices follow the story of the land, green and beautiful, sitting quietly
Timber doors painted to see the texture of the timber and the beauty of the colour

Outcome was pleasing – to accommodate so many people in a true working kitchen that would perform culinary delights
