Embracing design
With its symmetrical lines and solid concrete-block construction, this new Firth Masonry Villa from Masonry Design Solutions is a welcome haven
With its sunny, north-facing aspect and large swimming pool, the outdoor living area is a key feature of the house. As it is also a large area, the designer says it was important to choose a surfacing material that would add visual interest and help reduce glare.
The Peter Fell All Colour System in a European sandstone colour was specified for the concrete, which is scoured to resemble large flagstones. The colour also creates a contrast to the lighter pool coping, which complements the house exterior.
Because the colour is an integral part of Peter Fell All Colour concrete, it won't chip off or wear away, even in high-traffic areas. Surfaces are also easy to maintain.
A wide range of other colours and textures are available with the Peter Fell All Colour System. It can also be combined with aggregate mixes for a surface that is custom-made to your specifications.
The exposed aggregate finishes vary widely, depending on the materials used in the mix for example, these may include small pebbles and rumbled glass. The concrete colours range from terracotta and earthy tones, through to soft pastels.
The Peter Fell All Colour System is not only suitable for patios and pool surrounds it can be used wherever concrete features in the home or office. It is often used in flooring, and for paths and driveways.
