About the project: Adding flair to a kitchen is rarely easy. While it's true a copper sink, blue splashback or pendant light arrangement will help to lift a space, making it stand out is another matter entirely.

You may want to take a look at this kitchen if you need inspiration.

Kim Duffin decided to use RGB lighting here, and it's hard to argue with the results. This is one kitchen that certainly breaks the mould and is sure to stop guests dead in their tracks. Featuring blue (or any other colour) lighting that rings the ceiling and cabinets, it almost feels like you're looking at a set from Blade Runner.

Interestingly, when you turn the lights off you're left with a stylish, contemporary kitchen. Turn the lights on and it's party central.
