Don't adjust your set (just your mindset)
The sculptor/artist/designer – Alex Chinneck
The English newspaper The Guardian called British sculptor Alex Chinneck a "master of architectural illusion" and looking at some of his most celebrated public-space works it’s easy to see why. Chinneck’s own website refers to his often surprising pieces as ‘contextually responsive interventions that animate the place in which they stand’. One thing’s sure, they metaphorically and in some cases literally, turn your preconceived notions of things upside down.
It would be nice to think the titles of the works shed some light, but names like “A spoonful of sunrise”, “In the middle of nowhere”, or “From the knees of my nose to the belly of my toes” don’t really bring much illumination.
