Solid wood cabinetry, contemporary appliances and a traditional ambience are all offered in these kitchens from Scullery & Holz
Creating a dramatic, individual kitchen requires a sound knowledge of the industry. But what does this knowledge actually entail? A feel for ergonomic cabinetry and workstation layouts, comprehensive cabinetry skills, an in-depth knowledge of finishes, and an understanding of appliance trends are just some of the skills required.
Scullery & Holz specialises in designing one-off kitchens where all these factors come into play, says managing director Stefan Mayer.
"The two customised kitchens shown on these pages both feature solidly built, hand-painted cabinetry, constructed with framed doors and butt hinges," says Mayer. "Classic elements include fluted panels, hand crafted ornamental cornices and solid stone and wooden benchtops."
Both kitchens also feature intelligent layouts, with plenty of storage located within easy reach of the cooking areas.
"Alongside the solid cabinetry, ergonomic layouts and modern appliances, we also strive to bring a welcoming ambience to all our projects," says Mayer. "Designing these kitchens with plenty of space around the islands, for example, contributes to their relaxed, approachable feel."
