Demand on tap
This apartment's energy-efficient plumbing was installed by a registered master tradesperson whose own energies are always in demand
As today's plumbing systems become more sophisticated, so too does the knowledge required to set them in place. A paid apprenticeship with a master tradesperson offers day-to-day challenges, a wide variety of work, and teaches skills that are always in demand.
All plumbing for this sleek, contemporary apartment was installed by TJ Helm Plumbing. Energy-efficient water mains that provide instant hot water when the tap is turned and an in-shower steam room are just two elements that demanded the company's experienced skill set.
TJ Helm Plumbing managing director Trevor Helm is committed to upskilling tomorrow's tradespeople by taking on paid apprentices today.
To this end, the company is currently employing and training four apprentices all at different stages, but all moving towards completion of National Certificates in Plumbing and Gasfitting.
Helm also holds a directorship with the Plumbing, Gasfitting, Drainlaying and Roofing Industry Training Organisation (PGDR ITO) which is a valuable industry source of contacts and news for anyone looking to take on a trade apprenticeship.
