A view of some seating by Fagaleo Pty Ltd. INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE counts for a lot when it comes to outfitting a commercial project. So too does the ability to adapt to individual circumstances.Fagaleo is a company with a reputation for both, which is why they were given the contract to supply auditorium seating for the Millennium Arts Project, says managing director Les Heinemann."Fagaleo has been manufacturing a diverse range of commercial seating since 1976, and is one of Australia's leading suppliers of multiple seating."Fagaleo representatives met with project architects Donovan Hill Architects to discuss modifying their standard product to suit the project. A view of some seating by Fagaleo Pty Ltd. "Timber had to be a prominent feature of the chair replacing the usual plastic back, underside and armrests to enhance the acoustic properties of the auditorium, as well as to complement the decor. The chair's frame also had to be re-worked from a floor-mounted option to riser-mounted, to facilitate air flow grills in the risers," says Heinemann.Individualising the product did mean increased manufacturing processes, but Heinemann says Fagaleo is recognised for its efficacy."Henry Ford once famously told his customers they could have any colour car they wanted as long as it was black. We've moved away from that mentality people know us as the company that will manufacture to specifications it's what sets us apart from our competitors."Another company hallmark is its in-house fitting crew who install the finished product, as opposed to outsourced contractors. However, the benefit is we're able to provide our clients with an extensive warranty on installation," says Heinemann. For details, contact Fagaleo Pty Ltd, 27 Rowland St, Slacks Creek, QLD 4127, phone (07) 3208 7522, fax (07) 3209 4266.
