Creative Arch – Winner – 2019 TIDA New Zealand Renovation of the Year
The existing home on this large rural site was a boomerang shape, following the natural contours.
The owners request was for a new self-contained area for extended family plus a new master bedroom wing for themselves.
Two distinct wings were created – one stepping down from the main house and containing a minor household unit, the other a new circular wing for the master suite.
This circular form contrasts the main linear structure of the home, while maximising the ever-changing estuary and bush views.
What impressed the TIDA judges was the way Creative Arch has seamlessly connected the old and new, and the dramatic nature of the new master suite.
Congratulations to Creative Arch – winner of the 2019 TIDA New Zealand Renovation.
