The Design Room Australia is an emerging design store specialising in the design and local manufacture of contemporary stone furnishings, says managing director Maxim Vereshaka.

"We blend stainless steel, chrome and veneers with an exotic selection of natural stones and CaesarStone," says Vereshaka. "Our design focus is on modern, upmarket tables, with pieces ranging from console tables, coffee and side tables through to lamp and dining tables."

The company offers designs that are innovative and functional.

"Clients can choose from our extensive showroom range or we can design and manufacture one-off pieces for individual clients," says Vereshaka. "Alternatively, we can supply large runs of a particular piece for architects, developers or specifiers."

The company designs all its own pieces and is proud to work in environmentally sustainable, ecofriendly materials.

"Our emphasis is on funky and arresting designs," says Vereshaka. "We think of our furnishings as a practical art form."
