"We decided on a crisp, white design with two-pot gloss cabinetry. Benchtops on half of the island and a side cabinet are in the same warm matai as the floors. The balance of the benchtops are textured stainless steel, which connects with the anodised aluminium recessed cabinet handles, setting off the aesthetic.

"All drawers feature soft returns. And there is a touch of whimsy a glass panel insert is used for writing family notes."
