Owner Ralph McKavanagh says the family business services the boutique kitchen manufacturer, contract builders, shopfitters and the skilled DIY home renovator, with cut-to-size particleboard, laminated benchtops, cabinet hardware and cabinet componentry.
The versatile machinery set-up in the factory allows the company to extend its range of componentry from kitchens to wardrobes, vanities, and built-in furniture so that kitchen manufacturers, such as The Kitchen Maker, utilise these services.
"When you have high-quality machinery that drills and routs to within a tolerance of 0.05mm, the manufactured article is far more accurate than when cut or drilled by hand. This delivers precision componentry that is easy to fit, assemble and install," says McKavanagh.
Dr Board and Benchtops is also a recognised distributor of Hettich hardware. This month, a new showroom will open, based on Hettich's concept of the Intelligent Kitchen. Cabinetmakers and builders' clients will be able to get help in choosing the right drawer systems, bins, handles and storage solutions. For the skilled DIY customer, consultants will help with specifications and cutting lists.
