"People are a lot more interested in working in the kitchen today, and they want items to be readily accessible. Much of this interest can be attributed to the popularity of cooking shows. Home cooks are experimenting with different spices and ingredients, and need the right cabinet storage."

Rev-A-Shelf has introduced the 448 pull-out series to meet this demand. As the name suggests, this solid maple unit pulls out easily on patented Tri-Slides. The unit has adjustable shelves for easy customization.

To help you access corner storage that might otherwise not be used, Rev-A-Shelf offers the Premiere Glass Blind Corner system. The Curve has two large shelves with chrome oval wire and safety glass that glide out when the door is opened, allowing complete access to hard-to-reach areas.

Keeping the kitchen tidy, and freeing up floor space is a benefit of the Rev-A-Shelf pull-out waste containers. Lids can be added to make recycling easy for the whole family.

In another development, Rev-A-Shelf has joined forces with Blum to release its first electric-assist storage system. Rev-A-Shelf general manager David Noe describes this as the first of a new trend.

"While we always need to be price competitive, we are aware that high-end design needs the technology to match, so we have taken the initiative to provide electric solutions," he says.

With the Blum Servo Drive touch-to-open system, the 4WCSD units automatically open with just a touch on the front of the door, or with a light pull of the handle.
