With kitchens increasingly designed as part of an overall living space, there is a strong move towards a more integrated design approach.

Kenwood Kitchens manager Lesley Eadie says the company's three women designers have many years' experience in the kitchen industry, and know exactly how to create a more unified living space.

"Providing similar cabinetry in kitchen, dining and living areas, and concealing the more obvious functional aspects of a kitchen, makes for good visual continuity, as this project illustrates," she says.

The penthouse kitchen features white satin polyurethane cabinets with shadow line detailing in lieu of handles, which enhances the seamless look. Similar cabinetry conceals audiovisual equipment and bar facilities when not in use.
