Award-winning
The 2008 winner of the Hadco Best Traditional Kitchen Award demonstrates how the comfort of home can give a winning edge

A traditional design theme brings to mind impressions of visual warmth, often garnered from materials such as wood, burnished metals and polished stone.
Cheryl Pett Design used wooden paneling, granite countertops and ornate detailing to create this kitchen, recently named winner of the 2008 Hadco Best Traditional Kitchen Award.
The winning design is located in designer Cheryl Pett's own home, which also doubles as a showroom for her design studio. This gives clients the opportunity to observe complete interiors, including cabinetry options, in a working environment, says Pett.

"This is the point of difference for our company. Most product selections are made in our design studio. However, we also tap into other trusted sources from around Atlanta, those that we know to be reliable in terms of quality and service."
The prize-winning design features custom-made cabinetry with molded wood detailing and antique pewter cabinetry handles. The 48-inch side-by-side refrigerator is integrated so as not to detract from the country-style aesthetic. An apron sink also adds to this look, as does a checked Houles valance, which lends a splash of color to the room.
As a certified kitchen designer, Pett has been designing custom kitchens, baths and home interiors for over 14 years. Cheryl Pett Design's business is based mainly on referrals from satisfied customers.
