Choosing a new kitchen can take time. However, despite the numerous choices available, your selection can be made easier by knowing that whatever you choose, the craftsmanship will be impeccable and the installation precise.
Over the past few years The Kitchen Company has worked with some of New Zealand's top architects, designing and manufacturing kitchens to meet the highest standards of detailing and quality, says the company's director Ian Fisher.
The kitchen featured on these pages was a collaboration between Napier-based architect Paris Magadolinos, The Kitchen Company, and Melbourne-based interior designer Melanie Stewart.
"This kitchen features a huge amount of integrated hardware, such as smooth operating drawer and cupboard systems. The stainless steel accents, such as the island counter and the folded fronts around the oven provide a contemporary balance to the warmth of the timber floors and dark cabinetry," says Fisher.
Under the sliding window, a granite benchtop acts as a linking device that connects the kitchen to the exterior barbecue area. Another feature is a shelving system that is invisibly attached to the wall so that it appears to float.
Although kitchen specialists, the Kitchen Company's team of experienced cabinetmakers and joiners also manufactures cabinetry for all areas of the home.
