12 bathrooms from the 2020 TIDA awards that have embraced the warmth of wood

Several TIBA bathroom entries feature wood as a short cut to a natural feel. There are also wood-look tiles and we've slipped one such project in here – can you spot the difference?

With a pared-back palette of large, timber-look tiles and matte black fixtures, this carefully considered bathroom is all about minimalism.

The colour palette of this powder room is is opulent but earthy. The bespoke oak vanity with granite bench top is the statement piece in the space.

The design objective of this bungalow bathroom renovation was to create a space that reflected the character of the house and had a connection to nature.

Sitting pride of place on the third floor of this home, the brief for this impressive master suite was to create a dark and masculine space.

The design story behind this master suite was to achieve a classic yet feminine space that reflected the home’s rustic, French inspired style.

This bathroom is an artistic meeting of form and functionality. A reimagined layout and rich material palette combine to create a refined space.

The blonde wood cabinetry and natural stone elements used in this bathroom create an aesthetic that feels like a calming day spa.

The solution for this busy family bathroom was to do things by double – double basins, double tap ware, and double showers. The result is a relaxed yet functional room.
