In line with the international trend towards healthy, flavoursome cooking, Electrolux recently won praise for its new Compact Steam Oven at the Eurocucina 2010 design fair in Milan. The powerful, modestly sized oven is big on functionality combining steam, heat and grill functions, says director John Henley.

"A useful feature is a cooking probe that lets you see when a dish is ready," says Henley. "Pre-programmed settings for favourite dishes mean all you do is input the weight of the ingredients and the Compact Steam Oven calculates cooking time and the appropriate steam input.
