People go to great lengths to host a successful dinner party. But impressing the family is just as important as impressing guests.

Fortunately, with the right appliances, it's easy to do both. The latest cooking appliance collection from DCS by Fisher & Paykel is designed to meet the needs of the professional chef, yet is still simple enough for the whole family to use.

The collection incorporates features that ensure your food is cooked exactly as you like it.

Heading the line-up is the DCS WOSD-230 30in double oven. Available in stainless steel, this streamlined wall oven has electronic sensor touch controls and a 4.3cu ft capacity in both upper and lower ovens.

Each oven incorporates a glass-sealed, infrared broiling element. Positioning the broiler behind glass allows food, such as steak, to cook more quickly and at a higher temperature than convected heat. This ensures your steak will broil rather than bake.

Another benefit from DCS is the hidden baking element under the oven floor. Concealing the element increases available space and distributes heat more evenly.

Each 30in wall oven also features racks on rollers. These prevent the racks from sticking when hot metal expands. The racks slide out effortlessly, making for safe, easy cooking.

DCS also offers a single 30in oven the DCS WOS-130 that has the same capacity and functionality as the individualovens in the double model.

To complement these ovens, DCS has a matching 30in warming drawer. This can accommodate six dinner plates and a removable stainless steel shelf that doubles as a serving tray. The temperature within the drawer can range between 90-230°F, and there is a setting to keep food moist or crisp.

For homeowners who prefer a stand-alone range, the DCS line-up includes the 30in Professional model, a self-cleaning gas range. The range has five sealed Dual Flow burners that offer 17,500 BTUs, which means food cooks at a higher temperature than with conventional burners.

The Dual Flow burners also provide a special simmer setting, whereby the primary flame on the burners shuts off automatically, leaving only a smaller retention flame alight. This allows you to maintain a constant simmer temperature, which will prevent sauces from scalding.

Another popular, time-saving option is the DCS 24in, stainless steel convection microwave oven. The oven incorporates microwave convection, combination and broil options. This means it can bake, broil, brown, crisp and roast food in considerably less time than a conventional oven without sacrificing the flavor or texture of your food.

The convection microwave oven features auto-touch controls and 10 sensor settings, and is designed to complement the DCS WOSD oven models.
