What's cooking?
Appliance technology is constantly evolving to meet changing lifestyle requirements the latest Gaggenau appliances are a good example
The move towards professional kitchen appliances that deliver restaurant-quality performance is a noticeable design trend. Whether it's a larger-than-standard oven, a teppan yaki hot plate or a built-in coffee machine, modern appliances reflect the increasing emphasis placed on equipping kitchens to a high standard of specification.
Gaggenau products are a case in point, as illustrated by the appliances in these show kitchens. The EB295-131 double oven boasts a total volume of 161 litres, making it easy to cook more than one dish at once. And side-opening oven doors make for easy opening and closing.
Gaggenau's new 400 series hobs provide another innovation you can tailor your cooktop to suit the way you like to cook. Hobs shown here include the new VP421-111 teppan yaki professional grill, which has a large, stainless steel surface like those used in catering.
The steam cooker VK411-110, which has a glass cover, lets you steam and boil without pressure, while the barbecue VR230-112 provides a powerful grill with an aluminium cover.
Also shown is the EB385-110 90cm oven, which provides up to 30% more volume than standard ovens.
Another innovation is the new space-saving BL253 oven with LiftMatic. The motor raises and lowers the cooking surface, making the oven well suited to smaller kitchens.
