Well protected
Porous materials such as sandstone, tiles or paving will have a longer life when they are protected from stains by an invisible sealer
The natural appearance of sandstone, granite and travertine is one of the qualities that makes these products so appealing. They are often used for flooring both inside and outside the house, although there is a risk of staining or damage from food and liquid spills because they are porous.
Dry-Treat has developed a range of sealers, including Stain-Proof, that prolong the life of porous surfaces without changing their colour or finish. These sealers are designed for use on porous tiles, natural stone, pavers, concrete and grout all materials that can be affected by exposure to water, waterborne salts, graffiti and stains from food and drink spills. Even pool water is full of dissolved minerals that can rot, stain or break up a porous surface, says Gabriel Chapman of Dry-Treat.
"Our products do not form a glossy artificial surface Dry-Treat sealers are invisible. Instead, tiny molecules that repel liquids penetrate deeply and bond permanently inside the pores without blocking them. This creates a deep protective barrier that lasts up to 15 years before another application is needed," he says.
