Walking on glass

Skylights are a wonderful way to bring natural light into your home. You can extend that idea to your floors with glass pavers that allow light to flow through from above and below, providing a bright atmosphere and illumination for hallways and dark corners.

The glass paving system from National Glass gives flooring a dramatic new look. Built on an aluminium frame, the glass pavers are locked onto the grid with epoxy mortar, says company manager Gary Walden.

Among the popular applications for the glass systems are feature bridges, hallways, and sections of decks that become skylights for the rooms below. They can be installed as an accent or cover a space as large as 4m².
