Crafting a distinctive look for high-end souvenirs
Creating a store with a distinct New Zealand flavour is an eye-catching way to brand an upmarket souvenir and craft shop. The Great New Zealand Shop in Sylvia Park, designed by Designability and fitted out by Mainzeal Interiors, puts a contemporary spin on this traditional market.
The store is the second Great New Zealand Shop to be fitted out by Mainzeal Interiors, a specialist in commercial fit-outs and refurbishment works.
Mainzeal interiors manager Nigel Crosland says the store fit-out features extensive natural timber veneers and a variety of customised display fittings designed to highlight a variety of product types. These include freestanding tables and glazed shelving positioned within decorative niches with spot lighting.
"It was particularly important to provide a high standard of finish. Such attention to detail is characteristic of our work," says Crosland. "Despite a short timeframe, we were also able to finish the project on time and within budget."
Mainzeal Interiors is a subsidiary of Mainzeal, one of New Zealand's largest and most successful property and construction companies. Crosland says a network of area offices throughout the country ensures the company responds directly to client needs, with each client having a single point of contact within the company.
