To provide visual continuity and to reinforce the link between indoors and out, the flooring and hard landscaping of the Town & Country house feature similar coloured concrete.

The PeterFell concrete colour system was used for the project, with a soft sand colour chosen to complement both the neutral tones of the plastered walls and the greenery. The concrete pathways have a different sealer to provide a non-slip surface in wet weather.

Peter Fell Ltd general manager Cameron Greig says the coloured concrete system offers a simple way to achieve a durable, eye-catching flooring or outdoor surface that works with modern and traditional architectural styles.

"Coloured concrete can be used in many areas of the home, in addition to the flooring," Greig says. "For example, it can also be used for hearths, benchtops and vanity tops. And, because the colour is an integral part of the concrete surfaces, it won't chip off or wear away, even in high traffic areas."
