Urban village
With apartments, offices, retail services and restaurants, the landmark development at Freshwater Place completes an already thriving neighbourhood
Equally important at Freshwater Place are the hidden elements. The developer wanted a top-quality building at every level, so plumbing systems had to be of a very high standard, and design and construct hydraulic services contractor NSG Plumbing was able to deliver this.
"Our brief was to provide plumbing systems that were economical to deliver, include high-quality products and minimise energy usage for the life of the system in the building," says the company.
NSG Plumbing designed and co-ordinated all plumbing systems in the building. These included stormwater, water supply, sewer and hot water generation, with provision for office fit outs in the future. NSG Plumbing also completed plumbing for the Pricewaterhouse Coopers' office fit-out.
To service tower levels, NSG Plumbing installed an alternative domestic hot water generation system. A six-star rated Rotex hot water generation plant reduces space needed in the plant room, reduces gas consumption, infrastructure and running costs, and includes a 10-year product warranty.
