Features that drew prominent investment fund managers Portfolio Partners to relocate to Freshwater Place included the building's modern facilities, which reflected the company's market position. Portfolio Partners' brief to architectural, interior design and project management practice Spectrum Interiors was to create a custom designed fit-out that reinforced the company's position as a leading specialist in the fund management industry.
Director Geoffrey Welsh says the result is a palette of contemporary finishes that emphasises Portfolio Partners' corporate image and industry position.
"Polished limestone flooring, feature carpets and sycamore timber panelling are combined with polished metal finishes, and an abundance of natural light, as signature elements in this new corporate office. Applied in a minimalist manner, they create a highly sophisticated appearance. The finished product provides an outstanding outcome for Portfolio Partners," he says.
