Urban connection

Ensuring the finishing stages of a building project run smoothly and professionally can be the vital difference between completing it on time or running over schedule.
For 38 The Bond, paint manufacturer and supplier Dulux worked in close partnership with the architect and main contractor, Bovis Lend Lease, to ensure the right paints were chosen for the different areas and to streamline the final stages of the project.
Dulux's trade programs manager Joanna Baker says the company believes in the importance of making a full commitment to every project it undertakes from design to delivery.

To ensure this job progressed smoothly, Dulux provided the services of its commercial sales team, who worked with the architect and contractors, Bovis Lend Lease, from the design and documentation stages through to completion of the project.
"The purpose of this close liaison is to ensure that appropriate, cost-effective products are chosen for projects, both during the construction phases and for ongoing maintenance," says Baker.
"Our commercial sales team can provide a one-stop shop, because it has an in-depth knowledge of all Dulux products including protective coatings, powder coating, woodcare, decorative and texture coatings. It is also able to organise colour and wet samples of these products for testing on site. And should the need arise, the team is also happy to provide referrals for painting contractors." The company supplied interior and exterior paints and surface coatings for the project, including Dulux Professional, Wash and Wear 101 and Weathershield X10 for outside walls.
