Updated classic
This kitchen exudes traditional charm, but offers a distinctive personality. The design is by Kitchen & Bath Concepts
It can be hard to bring an updated flair to a classic kitchen. However, using creativity and inventive solutions perfected over a lifetime, the right designer can create a traditional kitchen that is still distinctive and personal.
Having won over 30 national design awards, Tom Trzcinski, CMKBD, has the vision to effectively combine traditional design elements with a clients' desire for a kitchen that is unlike anything else.
Trzcinski is president of the Trzcinski Design Group, which includes Kitchen & Bath Concepts, a company experienced in creating kitchens that fit their clients like a well-tailored glove.
"For this kitchen, the husband wanted a traditional look, but the wife wanted something more updated," he says.
To achieve this, Trzcinski designed a German Biedermeier room, with matte cherry cabinetry enhanced by inlays, some with subtle black corner details. Quality Custom Cabinets allowed for the high level of customization the project required.
The kitchen's classic feel is accented by limestone floors and Giallo Veniziano granite countertops, while a stainless steel farmhouse sink keeps everything fresh.
With the clients being avid cooks, Trzcinski also opted for a contemporary stainless steel professional range. To further personalize the kitchen, he opened up the area behind the range to provide a view.
