Innovation characterises Asset Interiors' bank fit-out

The success of any commercial fit-out is not solely dependent on the design. The quality of the workmanship is also critical especially for a bank looking to instill client confidence and trust. For the UBS project, Bovis Lend Lease contracted much of the interior work to Melbourne-based fit-out specialist company Asset Interiors.
The company was responsible for installing all the ceilings, feature panelling, doors, hardware and the partitioning, which included glass and aluminium.
Director David Murphy says Asset Interiors worked very closely with Bovis Lend Lease and the architects, as well as the acoustic consultants.

"To provide the necessary sound insulation, the acoustic consultants specified aluminium sections with double-glazed walls featuring a non-standard 90mm-plus internal cavity," Murphy says. "To achieve this, we had to design our own system and have dies made to cast the aluminium sections. This produced 120mm-thick glazed walls with integrated partition door systems."
Murphy says Asset Interiors undertakes much of its work in-house, which helps speed up the process.
"This project was completed within a very tight time frame, which meant all products had to be sourced locally and built to a strict schedule."
