In open-plan living situations, the kitchen typically flows onto living, dining and outdoor areas. But as the command centre of the house, the kitchen needs to be not only functional, but also a showpiece in the space.

This brief was given to Fabulous Kitchens, which designed a functional and free-flowing kitchen that is now an eye-catching feature in the home.

To achieve the architect's concept of a minimalist look and still ensure functionality, cabinetry built around the rangehood conceals the ducting, leaving only the hood and controls exposed. This ensures the clean lines of the kitchen sweep uninterruptedly across the space.

Fabulous Kitchens also provided all joinery and cabinetry for the vanities, laundry, wardrobes, entertainment and storage units, and supplied stone benchtops where specified.
