The architectural detailing and quality of finishes help to set 94 On Maxwells, a boutique residential development in Tauranga, apart from the crowd
One aspect of good architecture is to select materials that fit the design. However, it's just as important to use materials that are suited to the location.
Nu-Wall, an extruded aluminium exterior cladding material, was specified for several sections of the exterior walls of all three townhouses. Its durability and low maintenance requirement make it well suited to the location. Nu-Wall was supplied by Design Aluminium.
Director of Design Aluminium Dave Hopkinson says Nu-Wall is an excellent product to use on houses in coastal locations.
"The aluminium does not deteriorate in these conditions; the powdercoated or anodised finish ensures that the product will retain its appearance with only minimal maintenance," he says.
In addition, the silver powdercoat colour of Nu-Wall's Louvre 60 profile complements the contemporary design of the project. The mini bevel-back appearance of this profile adds an interesting design detail to the townhouses.
