Specialist company Bungalow & Villa carried out the construction of the fretwork, mouldings and timber joinery that contribute to the traditional style of Red Hills.

When it came to sourcing many of the details that would give the Red Hills residence its authentic Victorian look, the architect and builder turned to Bungalow & Villa.

Kawau Island's Mansion House was the original inspiration for many of the ideas for the final look of the residence. Bungalow & Villa's Glenn Elsmore worked with the rest of the design team to create this look.

Once all was agreed, Bungalow & Villa set about manufacturing and supplying all the fretwork, balustrades, architraves, skirtings and many other specialist detail items.

Earlier in the project, Bungalow & Villa had manufactured and supplied around fifty double-hung windows and all internal and external doors. Delivery of these items was critical to helping the project stay on schedule. Bungalow & Villa was able to supply all these items from its Morningside factory complete and on schedule.
