The standard of design and finish in the Hamlet Estates is evident from the custom wrought iron entry doors fronting each home.

Cantera Doors' brief was to supply durable and dramatic front entry doors for the each home in Jericho, says vice president Jim Murray.

"The designs had to be in keeping with the overall architectural feel, be cost effective, and be appropriate for use throughout the project," says Murray. "The result was a hand-forged, wrought iron door in a variety of faux finishes."

The company creates custom doors, gates and railings in a variety of styles, from classic to Mediterranean through to contemporary.

"Cantera Doors interprets the classic artistry and strength of iron into original, functional designs," he says. "Working initially with builders, architects, designers and owners, we pass their specifications and ideas on to our CAD design department. Most of the construction is done by hand, to create a finished door that is a one-of-a-kind work of art."
