The Len Lye Centre is a contemporary art museum located in New Plymouth, New Zealand.
The centre is an international destination that houses experimental film and kinetic art by the pioneering twentieth-century artist, Len Lye. It is only fitting that this modern establishment boasts the leading decorative concrete in the industry.
The Permacolour product called Colourmix Lithium, was used on the internal flooring areas.
The pigment is supplied in water-soluble bags which are added to the mix during the batching of the concrete. The pigments added are UV and alkali stable, non-fading and weather resistant.
The concrete which has been integrally coloured with Permacolour Colourmix pigments can be finished in a variety of ways to produce a range of finishes and textures including broomed, rolled, honed, etched, stamped, salt or exposed.
Typically used to colour concrete used for internal floors – residential or commercial, or externally for driveways, patios, or verandahs.
