The French connection
From sleek to classical, high-tech to provincial, Schmidt kitchens are all made with impeccable craftsmanship and attention to detail
Whether a kitchen is traditional or modern in style, it's the care and attention given to the small details that make all the difference.
Schmidt Kitchens, a renowned French kitchen manufacturer and designer, takes this approach. Now Australians too can benefit from the company's experience and emphasis on craftsmanship. Three showrooms each have 11 display kitchens, says managing director Roger Franchi.
"Each of our showrooms caters to a range of tastes, from provincial to high-tech contemporary," he says. "We regard the kitchen as a suite of furniture every possible appliance is integrated, or concealed behind cupboard doors."
Schmidt's Italian and French designers are constantly creating new styles and products. Recently, sales of modern styles overtook traditional kitchen lines; however, every Schmidt kitchen is packed with contemporary features.
"We use computer modelling to tailor every design, which allows clients to see exactly what they are getting before the kitchen is impeccably crafted."
Stand-out features of Schmidt kitchens include soft-closing cupboards and doors, space-saving, pull-out storage, and a huge variety of colour combinations, materials and styles. The company also designs and manufactures products for the bathroom and other rooms in the home.
