But heating and cooling can be costly.To help minimise energy costs, the owners of the TLC women's gym in Auckland specified new EccoTherm¢ paint from BM Pacific for the interior.Tim Martin of BM Pacific says TLC needed to provide a warm environment for clients in winter, and an inviting, cooler space in summer. "Rather than going to the expense of strapping and lining the gym, the owners chose to use EccoTherm paint, which acts as an insulating barrier," he says. "EccoTherm has been specially formulated to reflect radiant energy. This means heat does not pass through it as easily as standard paints."Martin says EccoTherm paints provide considerable energy savings.
