The big picture - SieMatic Floating Spaces provide continuity
SieMatic Floating Spaces provide continuity
Kitchens are no longer isolated work rooms today they have a social function right at the heart of the family living area. As such, they work best when they can be visually integrated with the overall design of the interior.
A new design concept from premium kitchen manufacturer SieMatic addresses this issue. FloatingSpaces is a panel and shelving system, which seamlessly blends the kitchen and living room to form a single space.
Ulrich W Siekmann, CEO and owner of SieMatic Me¶belwerke, says the system was designed to create fluidity between rooms and to allow an easy transition between functional elements.
"In so doing, the system achieves continuity in respect to cooking and living, as well as technology and aesthetics."
Panels are available in many of the materials in SieMatic's extensive portfolio, including natural wood finishes, lacquers and high-quality laminates. The matching shelves, which have polished edges of solid aluminum, offer many possibilities for a flexible wall design. For example, colors and materials can be combined to create appealing accents. And accessories, such as bookends and hooks, can be added to further individualize living spaces.
