The design for this home is based on an iconic 100-year-old home of American architect Frank Lloyd Wright
Horizontal lines, rows of windows and open interior spaces are all features of a Frank Lloyd Wright design. Here, these features are interpreted to create a comfortable living environment that suits local conditions.
Contour Aluminium manufactured and supplied the aluminium joinery for these windows, which are designed to form horizontal bands around the house on the ground and upper levels. Contour Aluminium also made bifolding doors that open out to expansive decks and the swimming pool at ground level, and onto the upstairs balcony off the master bedroom.
All the joinery for this large home was designed in accordance with site discussions between the project managers, Santa Barbara Homes, the owners and Contour Aluminium.
