Sometimes the best furniture options aren't the most readily available. Dining and occasional tables suited to the deck or the dining room, for example, may look fantastic on the pages of a foreign magazine, but sourcing them locally can be a different story.

LMI Concepts imports commercial and contract furniture, specialising in working with architects, designers and suppliers to commerce, says director Kevin Swalling.

"Our goal is to supply the latest designs at affordable prices," says Swalling. "We work with leading overseas furniture makers to bring together a versatile range of contemporary tables, sofas and occasional furniture to local clients."

LMI Concepts has recently introduced the versatile Derwent and Silvan collections. Strong, lightweight dining tables, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, are central to both collections.

The tables are constructed from seamlessly welded stainless steel frames, with tabletops offered in three timber finishes and two glass surfaces for indoor use. There is also a durable hardwood surface for use on patios or decks.

Both ranges also include matching coffee, sofa and lamp tables.
