Freestanding tubs and furniture-style vanities are key looks for bathrooms today. But you need to ensure these items are in harmony a coordinated look is much more likely to create the wow factor.

Vanico-Maronyx, a Canadian company specializing in the manufacture of bathroom furniture and fixtures, understands the importance of creating a harmonious look. Vice-president Charles-Antoine Gauvreau says it is not just about matching vanities and mirrors it is also about bathtubs, showers and dressing tables.

"A bathroom is an ensemble of pieces. Each item can be viewed as an essential part of the whole," Gauvreau says. "Our furniture and fixtures collections are designed so you can integrate every element. And, as these are modular items available in a range of sizes and layouts, there is a solution for every bathroom, no matter what its size or shape."

Vanico-Maronyx's in-house designer has created a wide variety of furniture styles, to suit contemporary, transitional and traditional interiors. These range from a quaint country look to romantic Victorian, cool modern and classic contemporary designs.

The semi-customized option extends to the choice of vanity tops the selection includes high-quality polymer, marble, glass and wood.

"Every furniture component needed in a bathroom is included," says Gauvreau. "Vanities feature integrated mirrors and lighting. We also supply linen and medicine cabinets and dressing tables, which can be installed separately, or attached to the vanity. All these components are offered in different layouts and sizes."

Gauvreau says furniture produced by Vanico-Maronyx is further defined by its innovative storage solutions.

"Every inch of our furniture is studied for its storage capability. For example, a six-inch gap between the vanity and linen cabinet becomes a vertical sliding drawer. And the traditional false drawer under the sink incorporates side drawers."

Vanico-Maronyx tubs and showers feature smooth, nonporous materials in number of nonslip, scratch-proof finishes. Gauvreau says the soft curves of the tubs and showers are shaped out of a blend of polyester and a composite material, which muffles noise and is particularly durable.

"Ease of maintenance and longevity are key features our tubs, showers and sinks will look good for years to come."
