Graeme and Fiona Marshall, the owners of Better Homes and Gardens, are garden designers whose speciality is hard landscaping, enhanced by selective planting. The Marshalls' experience includes many years of owning and operating garden centres, a garden gallery and a landscaping business.

"We are often called on to design gardens for busy people, who prefer more emphasis on structural elements and less on hedges and other high-maintenance planting schemes," says Fiona Marshall.

Better Homes and Gardens' service includes a full consultation and a written report including all costings. The service is personalised to each client and the company can provide builders and other sub-contractors, plants and planting, or clients can organise the work themselves.

In addition, Fiona Marshall has a diploma in interior design, and the company offers a home renovation and interior design consultancy service, including design advice and written costings.
