For the project on these pages, Fieldstone's designer Jeff Ptacek, CKD, was asked to create a warm, family kitchen with an adjacent office area. Ptacek carried the look from the kitchen and desk into the adjacent great room; a window seat flanked by shelves in the dining area, and a mantel for the living room.
"We achieved a welcoming look for the space by using a cottage finish in off-white tones," he says. "A glaze in a chocolate tone augments the traditional, relaxed decor."
The kitchen's standard, up-market features include the smooth-gliding Blumotion Soft Close drawer system.
