A major street redevelopment project can completely revitalise an area. It provides an opportunity to create an attractive environment, but also to add practical features such as sufficient seating, plenty of shade trees and rubbish facilities.

These projects require a team of experienced professionals able to deliver a complete package for the city councils. The Russell Group can cover all aspects of such projects, including site works, excavation, infrastructure services, roading, paving and landscaping.

Recent projects include the Kohimarama beach and Viaduct Harbour redevelopments. The Kohimarama development transformed the area. Ageing street furniture and handrails were replaced, and a timber boardwalk and exposed concrete walkway were installed. The Russell Group has been involved with the Viaduct Harbour redevelopment since work began in 1998.

Other projects include Britomart and the recently completed Quay Street upgrade, which continues Auckland City Council's plans to revitalise Auckland's CBD.
