Bringing showers out into the open rather than hiding them behind doors or walls is a strong trend in contemporary bathroom design.
The new Atlantis Artisan shower, with its minimalist design, has been launched with this in mind, says Stan Gregec, managing director of Atlantis Bathroom Style.
"Its sleek styling and young, fresh qualities will appeal to the modern city dweller," he says.
The frameless Artisan shower appears to sit level with the floor. In fact, the shower is supported by a 38mm-high hob, known as the Atlantis Zero-hob.
"The Zero-hob allows us to achieve a pared-down effect. The hob has a 20mm slope to the tiled-over waste, which means that water flows away easily, and avoids any unsightly drains in the shower."
The Artisan shower base can be installed onto an existing concrete or timber floor, without the need for any structural alterations to the flooring. The other benefit is its price, says Gregec.
"The Artisan shower is excellent value: it is New Zealand-made and comes with a 20-year leak-free manufacturer's warranty on the shower base."
