Standing on tradition
Salvaged antique materials and more Exquisite Surfaces offers your home and garden the best of old and new
When building or remodeling your dream home, sometimes you desire a surface that stands apart. One company sources original materials from around the world, making them easily accessible to architects, designers and homeowners throughout the United States.
For the last 10 years, Exquisite Surfaces has provided its clientele with a wide selection of antique salvaged materials, new and reproduction lines in stone, tile, and wood.
The company also imports hand-crafted decorative tile collections from Europe and North Africa.
Founded in 1997 by Paula Nataf and her sons Franck and Alexis, their first showroom was in Los Angeles. Since then Exquisite Surfaces has added locations in San Francisco, Greenwich and their newest showroom in Manhattan's A&D building.
Paula Nataf says the secret to the company's success is simple and goes beyond her passion for the business.
"As a company, our focus has always been to provide exceptional personal service, but the thing that sets us apart is our commitment to discovering new products from all over the world and sharing them with our clients."
Exquisite Surfaces recently introduced a line of Jerusalem Stone floors, aged by hand and available in multiple sizes, shades and textures.
The company is currently developing a line of thermo-treated European oak flooring, suitable for the East Coast's cooler climates. Warehouses in California and Connecticut enable the company to stock an ever-expanding product line that includes antique and reproduction fireplaces, aged French oak, Provene§al fountains, garden elements, salvaged roof tiles, and decorative tile collections.
"Ultimately, we are in the business of helping people create their dream homes and we're very proud to be a part of that."
