An architect's vision of a cutting-edge apartment complex is often shaped by market expectations. This goes from an apartment floor plan that offers casual indoor-outdoor living, to a kitchen environment complete with contemporary, feature-rich appliances.
Large balconies or courtyards, high ceilings, extensive recreation options and a communal Village Green all contribute to the upmarket feel of the new Oxygen Apartments by Honeycombes Property Group, says general manager project marketing Blair Shillington.

Offered in Skyline, Parkview, Cityview and Loft options, the apartments are designed to be practical as well as convenient. Facilities include secure covered parking, a storage facility per apartment, two pools, a gymnasium and a sauna. There is also ready-cabled pay and digital television connections, and audiovisual intercom systems from each apartment to the entry lobby, relevant gates and the basement.
"Oxygen was designed partly as an attractive investment option, with a high standard of amenities and finishes throughout," he says. "For example, carpet runs throughout the living areas, and stone work surfaces feature in the kitchens."
The kitchen appliances were also chosen for their efficiency and longevity.
A GE refrigerator offers eye-level accessibility, a 4.5 star energy rating and clean-lined design. Its stainless steel finish is reflected in other Kleenmaid appliances.
An electronic programmable oven offers a 56L capacity, an A class European energy rating and an Aquaclean enamel finish. Overhead a 600mm slide-out rangehood keeps the air clean.
Some apartments feature Kleenmaid's gourmet oven, offering precision temperature control and heat distribution.
A four-burner gas cooktop has differing burner sizes and a flame failure cutout.
