Soak up the lifestyle

While you're enjoying a leisurely soak, you can relax in the knowledge that your Hot Spring spa is also running efficiently

There's nothing quite like relaxing in a hot spa after a busy day and the thought of how much it might be costing you to run needn't take the edge off your enjoyment.

As well as providing maximum relaxation, Hot Spring spas are designed to be energy-efficient. The spas are constructed with multiple layers of high-density, closed-cell polyurethane foam much like a commercial freezer to lock in the heat. Customised, heat-retaining covers are also provided.

The Hot Spring spa range has a number of energy saving features that maintain the water at your desired temperature without the need for expensive heating and filtration cycles.

Pumps, heaters and jet systems are designed to deliver maximum performance using minimum energy. The company says its Silent Flo 5000 circulation pump ensures 24-hour filtration while using less energy than a 75-watt light bulb.

Heated air generated by the Wavemaster jet pump is directed into the spa's water, slowing the water's cool-down rate and saving further energy.

Savings are also made by the No-Fault 6000 heater, which transfers about 98% of the heat it produces to the spa water.

The results of tests done by Parkside Laboratories show that energy consumption of Hot Spring spas is about five units of power a day. This is based on the assumption that the spa water is filtered 24 hours a day, maintained at 39°C and used for hydro massage 30 minutes a day.

While actual costs will vary depending on local air temperatures and power costs, the average cost to run a Hot Springs spa is about 75 cents a day.
