Just when you thought you had seen it all, along comes a product that makes interior decorating much easier and offers extra benefits at the same time.

Pella, renowned for its high-quality windows and doors, offers the innovative Designer Series® collection. These double- or triple-pane windows and patio doors let you install window fashions within the glass panes rather than in front of them.

Pella brand manager Sherri Gillette says the snap-in between-the-glass blinds, fabric shades, decorative panels and removable grilles stay protected from dust and damage, and don't need constant cleaning.

"The Pella Designer Series windows and patio doors also make it easy to decorate your home, and offer plenty of design flexibility," says Gillette. "Hinged glass panels swing open, and the between-the-glass blinds or decorative panels snap in and out, allowing you to transform the look of your room instantly."

The mini-blinds and fabric shades arrive custom-fit and installed, and are available in decorator colors and fabrics.

"The decorative panels have textured, colored and natural interlayers that create a one-of-a-kind look," says Gillette. "Panels allow light to shine through, but obscure the view, which is great for rooms where privacy may be an issue."

You can choose from 10 standard colors and patterns. However, additional colors and patterns are available to complement any decor, from traditional to modern.

Gillette says energy efficiency is also a bonus, especially since homeowners are becoming more energy conscious.

"The Designer Series windows and patio doors are the only Pella products available with triple-pane glass," she says. "When combined with Low-E insulating glass with argon, plus the hinged glass panel, they can help cut heating and cooling bills by up to 28%."

Pella is a voluntary partner in the Department of Energy's Energy Star® program to promote the use of high energy-efficiency products, and in 2007 was the Energy Star Partner of the Year in the window manufacturer category. Pella Designer Series products meet Energy Star guidelines to reduce sound up to 80% compared to single-pane wood windows. They also have high U-Values and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient ratings to keep your home comfortable year round, and reduce fade damage without blocking the light.

Another benefit of the Pella Designer Series products is reduced allergens.
