Managing director Graham Chant says the Novotel fit-out was a good example of the firm's responsive, custom hardware solutions."The sleek black powdercoated door handles were the result of a collaboration between the hotel's architect, Jonathan Hewlett of Warren and Mahoney, the New Zealand distributor of VingCard locks, and our design team," he says. These custom handles by Chant Hardware are formed in cast aluminium with a brass back plate. "Hewlett wanted the handle to echo the form of the Novotel's distinctive blade columns, while the lock's vertical fixing screws required a specific technical response.
